Hometown

There should always

be a place where your

heart can call home.

"When you finally go back to your old hometown,
you find it wasn't the old home you missed
but your childhood."                ~ Sam Ewing

Being a part of something is important.

Even if you were just standing on the outside  looking in

you can at least say that you were there.

Pride.

Nostalgia.

You are a mixture of your past experiences,
your  life today and your faith in a better tomorrow.

Good people, bad people, good hometown, bad hometown,
you were where you were because a Higher Power said so.

Learn to be the good editor of your past.

Take the lessons of your life and turn them into strengths.

Today, reflect on the knowledge that your Higher Power
has allowed you every chance to learn to do His will.

Pride and nostalgia are feelings that can be used to make your life better today.

Celebrate the past, but do not try to live in the past.

The hometown team is worth your support  but must not be a reason for living.

"A class reunion is a time when men and women
travel great distances to be with people they haven't seen for 20 years -
and discover that every 20 years is too often.” ~ Sam Ewing

Do not hide your true self behind the accomplishment of others.

Learn to identify with the strengths of others, applaud their talents and skills,

but use your own God given personality to do what is required of you.

Today, there is no hiding allowed.

"What is pride?
A rocket that emulates the stars." ~ William Wordsworth

Pray to have the courage and strength to let the real you
help to make the world a better place for all.

Be kind, even to the Yankee fans.

Be loving, Los Angeles may yet produce a  redeeming social value
before it slides into the ocean.

Be the person God wants you to be.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.
